Target Species:
Snook, Trout, Redfish
Teams
The tournament will be fished in teams. The teams will be comprised of 2 anglers. An individual angler may register as team if desired. Multiple teams are allowed to fish from the same vessel.
Scoring
Fish length must be photographed using a tournament provided ruler. Further explanation to be provided in the captain’s meeting.
Boundaries
The waters North of the Howard Franklin Bridge in Old Tampa Bay. The waters may be fished from a vessel, or by shore.
Placing Categories
A winner will be awarded for each of 4 categories. The first 3 categories being the best overall length for Snook, Trout, & Redfish. The 4th category will be for the team with the best Poker Hand.
Poker Hand Category Explanation
During the captain’s meeting to kickoff the tournament, each team will draw 5 cards from a deck of cards. During the tournament, teams can earn extra card draws for completing some fishing incentives. Think….catching species outside of the scoring fish, landing at least 5 trout, ect. More to come on the incentives, but the idea is to assemble the best possible poker hand by the end of the tournament. You will need tight lines and a little luck to win this category!
