Tournament Format
The tournament will be fished in teams comprised of 2 anglers. An individual angler may register as a single team if desired. Multiple teams are allowed to fish from the same vessel. All anglers must have a proper fishing license for the State of Florida. No professional fishing guides are allowed to participate.
Fishing Methods
Participants will fish using hook and line only. Absolutely no cast netting. Live bait and artificial lures are allowed. This is a catch and release tournament, so please handle the fish appropriately.
Boundaries
The fishable water for the Safety Harbor Slam includes all waters in Old Tampa Bay, North of the Howard Franklin Bridge. No fish submitted for scoring may be caught outside the waters highlighted in blue on the map
Scoring
Fish length must be photographed using a tournament provided ruler. Make sure the ruler is pulled tight, and the photo is taken directly above the fish. The measurement will be rounded to the nearest quarter inch.
Your single longest measuring fish from each category (Redfish, Snook, Trout) will be totaled to achieve your final score. If you do not make a submission for a species, that will result in a score of zero for that category.
Example 1: 22” Redfish + 26” Snook + 17” Trout = Final Score of 65”
Example 2: 19.25” Redfish + 0 (no Snook submitted) + 20” Trout = Final score of 39.25”
